Jana Abou Nasr 

Jana is an XR and spatial designer originally from Jordan, currently based in London. She has recently completed her Master’s degree in Virtual Reality at the University of the Arts London. Her main interest lies in storytelling, exhibition design, and narrative environments.

Jana earned her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture & Interior Architecture from the German Jordanian University. Following her undergraduate studies, she worked for two years at an architectural studio in Jordan, gaining valuable experience in spatial and interior design.

Passionate about merging the digital and physical realms to communicate compelling stories, Jana creates poetic, immersive experiences that explore new ideas and connect with audiences on a deeper level. She specializes in crafting branded narrative spaces, particularly in retail and exhibition design.

Her final master’s project, Olreverie, explores Synesthetic XR Design, using immersive media to simulate synesthesia—a phenomenon where one sense triggers another—to enhance brand storytelling. Through multisensory elements, the project investigates how integrating sensory modalities can create impactful, memorable experiences for brands.

Jana’s other project, EchoRealms, was showcased at the Aesthetica Film Festival in 2024, highlighting her ability to blend XR technologies with compelling narratives. Additionally, Jana and her colleagues received recognition for a project focused on ocean narratives, utilizing projection mapping technology, which was selected for the UNESCO Ocean Decade Challenge 10 in 2024.
